Alivira Animal Health has inaugurated its new R&D laboratory in Ankara, marking a significant step in strengthening its innovation capacity and regional influence in animal health. The new center is designed not only to serve Turkiye but also to support neighboring countries with research and product development aligned with European Union regulations. Products developed here will be licensed both in Turkiye and Europe — positioning the country as a key base for global veterinary innovation.
In an exclusive statement to The Animal Economics, Murat Mentes, General Manager of Alivira Turkiye, described the new laboratory as “not just an investment, but a strategic move reflecting our long-term vision for research and innovation.” He highlighted that Alivira’s transformation in Turkiye includes both infrastructural and organizational renewal, creating a more agile and technology-driven structure.
Mentes also emphasized that the company’s integration into Alivira’s global network has strengthened its presence in international markets. “We are proud to have started exporting our product Clavon to the United Kingdom. This reflects the level our brand has achieved in global competition,” he said.
Looking ahead, Alivira plans to focus on sustainable growth through innovation. “R&D and innovation are in our DNA,” Mentes added. “We will continue to invest in science-based, high-quality veterinary solutions while expanding our presence in both livestock and pet health segments. Under our Phytosolutions brand, we aim to introduce new portfolios that combine innovation with sustainability.”
With its Ankara-based laboratory, Alivira underscores its commitment to making Turkiye a key hub for global veterinary research and to strengthening its contribution to the regional and European animal health landscape.
