Alltech introduces next-generation mycotoxin solutions to boost livestock health and producer profitability

13/11/2025

Alltech, one of the world’s leading innovators in animal nutrition and sustainable agriculture, has launched its next-generation mycotoxin management products — Mycosorb® A+ Evo and Mycosorb® Evo — marking a strategic step in the company’s long-term growth plan to strengthen its position in the global feed additives market.

The launch represents more than a technical upgrade: it signals a shift toward higher-value, science-driven solutions in an increasingly competitive and risk-sensitive feed industry. The new range aims to help producers safeguard livestock health and maintain productivity amid rising challenges from feed contamination and volatile grain quality due to climate change.

Building on Alltech’s 30 years of expertise in mycotoxin management, the Mycosorb Evo range offers enhanced efficacy and broader-spectrum protection against critical contaminants such as deoxynivalenol (DON), fusaric acid (FA) and Penicillium-derived toxins — compounds frequently linked to losses in feed efficiency, fertility, and growth performance. These innovations come at a crucial time when the global mycotoxin binders market, valued at around USD 3 billion, is expected to grow at over 4% annually as producers face mounting pressure to improve feed safety and reduce antibiotic reliance.

According to Dr. Alexandros Yiannikouris, Alltech’s Global Mycotoxin Management Research Director, the new generation “raises the bar in mycotoxin control — delivering next-level protection and setting a new benchmark for producer confidence and animal well-being.”

Supported by data from the Alltech 37+® program and the annual Alltech Harvest Analysis, these new products address one of the most persistent economic risks in livestock production: feed contamination. Each year, global losses attributed to mycotoxins are estimated to cost producers billions of dollars in reduced animal performance and discarded feed ingredients.

From an economic perspective, the Evo range represents a clear response to the sector’s dual imperative: profitability and resilience. By improving livestock efficiency and mitigating toxin-related health issues, the products help reduce veterinary costs, optimize feed conversion, and protect margins in both intensive and pasture-based systems.

Nick Adams, Technology Group Commercial Director at Alltech, noted that Mycosorb Evo “reflects our commitment to solving challenges in the field and delivering trusted solutions that protect both animal health and the success of our customers’ operations.”

With the 2025 Alltech Harvest Analysis now underway, the company is expected to release updated data on contamination levels in new crop grains — further informing global risk management strategies for feed producers and integrators.

Through innovation like Mycosorb Evo, Alltech is not only reinforcing its leadership in feed safety but also strengthening the economic sustainability of livestock production worldwide — where healthier animals mean healthier balance sheets.
