Animal Health Ireland has appointed Patrick Donohoe as its new Chief Executive Officer, marking a new leadership phase for an organization working at the center of Ireland’s animal health landscape.

The appointment was announced by Animal Health Ireland through its own official statement. In the announcement, AHI said Donohoe will be responsible for implementing the organization’s strategic initiatives and delivering for the benefit of farm families, the industry, consumers, and animal health. 

Donohoe brings a broad agricultural background to the role. According to Animal Health Ireland, he has served in a range of leadership positions in the agriculture sector, including senior corporate affairs experience in the dairy industry. This gives the appointment a strong relevance for Ireland’s livestock sector, where animal health is closely tied to farm performance, industry confidence, and long-term competitiveness.
