Ceva Animal Health has named Sebastien Huron Deputy Chief Executive Officer, effective immediately, in a leadership reshuffle that splits long-term strategy from day-to-day execution. Marc Prikazsky takes on the role of Executive Chairman, while Huron assumes responsibility for operational management and chairs the Executive Committee. The move was announced on April 10.
Huron arrives with more than 30 years of international experience spanning animal health and pet food. A veterinarian trained at the National Veterinary School of Toulouse, he began his career at Mars in France in 1994 before moving to Brazil later that year to join Roussel-Uclaf / Hoechst Roussel Vet. He went on to hold senior roles at Intervet and Virbac, serving as Virbac’s CEO from 2017 to 2024.
The new setup gives Ceva a clearer split between strategic direction and operational leadership at a time when the company is operating at greater scale. Prikazsky remains focused on long-term priorities, including investor relationships, innovation, leadership development and broader strategic positioning, while Huron takes the lead on execution across the group.
That change comes at a significant moment for the company. Ceva describes itself as the world’s fifth-largest animal health company, with more than 7,200 employees in 47 countries and 2025 turnover of EUR 1.92 billion.
The appointment points to a business preparing for its next phase with a more defined division of responsibilities at the top. For readers wanting the original company wording, the announcement is available through Ceva’s newsroom.
