Daniel Parker, Veterinary Consultant and member of the British Poultry Council, was one of the most closely followed experts at UBEK 2025. In our interview with him, we talked about coccidiosis — one of the most critical diseases affecting poultry. This disease has serious consequences not only for animal health but also for public health.
Parker emphasized that effective coccidiosis control is only possible through strong teamwork. In his view, success in this area requires selecting the right materials, applying them within a structured program, and monitoring the entire process with care and precision.
He stressed that unplanned or random interventions are not enough. Regular monitoring and a disciplined approach are essential for effective control. Working according to a well-designed plan and closely supervising implementation are key conditions for achieving positive outcomes.
In conclusion, Parker underlined that controlling coccidiosis is not an individual effort, but a shared responsibility. Teamwork is the strongest weapon in dealing with this disease, and success depends on the conscious involvement of every stakeholder in the process.
