At the 8th National and 4th International Herd Health and Management Symposium held on November 7-10, 2024, Hasvet Pharma became the company that attracted the most attention with its four large island booths.
Hasvet Pharma also organized its year-end evaluation meeting just before the Herd Health Symposium and made the symposium a milestone for starting the new year dynamically.
So, what is Hasvet Pharma?
Hasvet Pharma is an untested model with 2 global distributorships (Syva and Virbac), 1 state-of-the-art production facility (FDN Ilac) and 3 pharmaceutical companies that have made a splash in the field (Vilsan, Verano and Pifarma).
Led by veterinarian Hidayet Simsek, Hasvet Pharma is an animal health solution partner focused on offering innovations to veterinarians, developing the sector, redefining competition and improving animal health. Aware that diagnosis and treatment are inseparable parts, Hasvet Pharma launched Vilsan Ilac, Bovilap Device and Speed Mam Color Test products at its island booths.
Top management and veterinarians came together
At the booths, Hasvet Pharma’s top management and veterinarians came together and made decisions and determined actions together regarding future projections. Beyond the traditionally criticized “unreachable manager” profile, Hasvet Pharma has become a prominent player in the sector with a management approach that does not forget where it comes from and is closely connected to its roots. This is clear evidence of how successful they are in the sector.
Solution partner for supply shortages
“Especially in today’s world where supply shortages are on the agenda, Hasvet Pharma is the largest pharmaceutical supplier in the Balkans, the Middle East and the Turkish Republics. We strive to represent this responsibility in the best way possible, not only by producing veterinary pharmaceuticals, but also with every action we take.”
Herd Health Symposium: Representation of Birth
“Herd Health Symposium means “representation of birth” for Hasvet Pharma and “rising from the ashes” for Vilsan Ilac. We believe that these components gathered under the same roof will be a great source of hope for the future of our sector. We wish you all well-being.”
The winners will be veterinarians with Hasvet & Virbac collaboration
According to Virbac Central and Eastern Europe Technical Marketing Manager Emma Sanne, Virbac and Hasvet are two strong names that have met at the right point. The important guest of the Herd Health and Management Symposium was Virbac Central and Eastern Europe Technical Marketing Manager Emma Sanne. Sanne was met with our General Manager Baris Kolgu. Underlining how important the Turkish animal health market is for Virbac, Sanne said that the winners will be animal health professionals with the strong Virbac & strong Hasvet collaboration.
“Since Virbac was founded in 1968 by French veterinarian Pierre-Richard Dick, our teams have been acting every day for the health of animals. As the 6th largest animal health company in the world, we operate in over 100 countries with a range of innovative solutions to diagnose, prevent and treat most pathologies, while improving the quality of life of our animals on a daily basis. Our innovation, based on both technological advances and a deep understanding of the field, is based on production facilities that meet the highest international quality standards. For over 50 years, these characteristics have allowed our company to establish a special relationship with veterinarians, farmers and pet owners in every country. Together with these privileged partnerships, we are moving forward to shape the future of this fascinating area of animal health, which lies at the intersection of social, health and environmental issues.”
Today, the 6th largest animal health company in the world:
“Virbac has been listed on the stock exchange (Paris Stock Exchange) since 1985. The Dicks family still holds the majority of the votes today and presides over the group’s key decisions, embracing a family-run management style based on longevity and traditional values.”
A practical range of products and services
“The products and services we offer at Virbac consist of a practical range of products and services that aim to improve the quality of life of animals, as well as the detection, prevention and treatment of many diseases.
Animal health is at the intersection of important social, health and environmental challenges, such as combating epizootic diseases, food security, human health and biodiversity. In order to effectively respond to these challenges, Virbac has chosen to remain independent since its founding, to dedicate itself exclusively to animal health and to tirelessly innovate.
Today, we focus our energy on developing treatments and vaccines for common animal infections in everyday life, while considering globally emerging or difficult-to-treat diseases. This approach is of great importance for farm animals, as the need for high-quality meat and dairy products increases. It is also crucial to improve the quality of life of companion animals and the well-being of their owners. Our proposal for farm animals is based on the rational use of veterinary drugs and the development of preventive medicine through vaccination. Since 2012, the company has also initiated a major strategic change in aquaculture, acquiring a majority stake and then 100% in Centrovet, one of the few companies in the world specializing in vaccines for farmed salmon, based in Chile, in 2021. The production of proteins from aquaculture is the main source of animal protein production worldwide, which explains Virbac’s interest in this area. Finally, Virbac regularly launches new products and supports its development with a comprehensive range of products that address the majority of species and pathologies. All this while strengthening its presence in major markets in both developed and developing countries, with the aim of contributing more and more to shaping the future of animal health.”
