Phytobiotics Marks 25 Years with Innovation and Industry Engagement at UBEK 2025

21/05/2025

Celebrating its 25th anniversary, Phytobiotics delivered a forward-looking message to the poultry industry at UBEK 2025—the National Poultry Meat Congress organized by BESD-BIR. The company’s satellite symposium drew high participation and highlighted both technological innovation and strong ties with sector stakeholders, reaffirming its influential presence in animal health and nutrition economics.

Chicken Checker: Data-Driven Health Management in Poultry Houses

Phytobiotics’ most groundbreaking showcase was the Chicken Checker—an AI-powered, cloud-based tool for early disease detection. Using just 10 feces images from any poultry house, the system analyzes flock health via proprietary algorithms and instantly shares results with farm managers, veterinarians, and technical teams.

Managing Director Kurt Wegleitner underlined that the real strength of Chicken Checker lies in its ability to turn raw data into actionable insight within seconds. The result is a simplified, real-time view of coop health that supports timely, informed decisions—making animal health management both preventive and measurable.

Gut Health First: Technical Focus from Field to Feed

Opening the symposium, Phytobiotics Turkiye General Manager Ibrahim Arpaci emphasized the foundational role of gut health in animal performance. He highlighted how technical services provided by Phytobiotics are rooted in microbiota balance, linking it directly to field productivity.

Rafael Gustavo Hermes followed with a compelling presentation on the impact of plant-derived alkaloids—especially sanguinarine—on broiler health. Tracing its traditional use to current scientific validation, Hermes’ session underscored the growing economic and biological relevance of natural additives in poultry production.

A Touch of Tech and Humor: PhytoBot and PhytoCup

Adding a unique interactive layer to the event was PhytoBot, Phytobiotics’ AI-driven humanoid robot. With a warm personality and an answer for every question—technical or casual—PhytoBot became a favorite among attendees, embodying the company’s human-centered approach to tech.

Later, the PhytoCup 2025 quiz brought energy and laughter to the hall. Hosted by popular announcer Alp Ozgen, the contest blended poultry industry knowledge with team spirit and humor. Industry veterans Erdal Elmas (Banvit) and Ali Sen (Beypilic) captained the two teams. Rather than competition, the focus was on shared learning and engagement—highlighting how knowledge can also be fun.

Celebration with Meaning: Anniversary Raffle and Industry Value

The 25th anniversary raffle offered attendees a chance to celebrate the milestone together with gifts and light-hearted moments. More than just entertainment, the event reflected the value Phytobiotics places on building lasting relationships within the industry.

Looking Ahead with Purpose

Phytobiotics’ presence at UBEK 2025 was more than a celebration—it was a statement of intent. Combining AI tools like Chicken Checker, plant-based innovations, and a field-focused technical service mindset, the company illustrated how data, science, and empathy can shape the future of poultry health management.
