Sustell, developed by dsm-firmenich’s Animal Nutrition & Health business, is a certified ISO-compliant life cycle assessment (LCA) platform. By integrating the GFLI database, it enables feed professionals, advisors, and even retailers to calculate and reduce the environmental footprints of animal proteins. “GFLI’s data is foundational—feed can make up 50–80% of the footprint in animal protein production,” says Dr. Nickell.
