TuVECCA’s “record year” is built on diverse expertise and scientific rigor

10/02/2026

At TuVECCA in Turkiye, Ender Erkoc, President of the Emergency Veterinarians Association, attributed the congress’ continued growth to a long-term, structured effort by a multidisciplinary organizing team—and a clear decision to keep scientific quality at the center of the event.

Erkoc described TuVECCA as a “successful organization” where records are being discussed, and thanked supporters for their contribution. He said the board has worked at a high intensity for a long period, emphasizing that the team combines clinical veterinarians and academics who can cover both global approaches and day-to-day case realities. In his view, that diversity helps the organization evaluate challenges, define direction, and design solutions more effectively—ultimately translating into stronger outcomes.

Looking back, Erkoc said 2025 went very well, adding that the congress is currently experiencing the results of that momentum. For 2026, he highlighted a forward-looking focus: bringing the community together around artificial intelligence—its benefits, risks, and how to integrate it responsibly in a profession dealing with living patients.

A key caution in his remarks was the importance of correct data. Erkoc noted that veterinarians work with “silent patients” who cannot explain their symptoms, meaning decisions rely heavily on observations and the quality of incoming information. He argued that if the data is wrong, clinicians risk being pushed into wrong conclusions—making the AI discussion not only about innovation, but about safe implementation.

Addressing why participants choose TuVECCA in a crowded congress landscape, Erkoc said the event’s differentiator is a carefully built scientific process. While the congress includes networking and a social program, he stressed that the priority is the academic content. He described a long review period for lectures and topics, supported by input and backing from international/global companies, to ensure the program reflects where Turkiye stands in a fast-moving “information age.”

Erkoc also emphasized strong private-sector support, suggesting that industry engagement grows when congress themes reflect real-world priorities. In his comments, he linked AI’s cross-disciplinary relevance—mentioning areas such as endocrinology and dermatology—as one reason companies can align their own direction with the congress’ scientific focus.
